Group Sales  

Group Sales Manager position available at Sun Mountain Lodge. This is a Full Time Salaried position and is eligible for our full benefits package.  Four years hotel or direct sales experience needed, college degree preferred.

 

Spa  

Licensed Aesthetician:  Duties will include giving facials, spa body treatments and the selling of Spa retail items.  Secondary job available as spa receptionist. Job would involve booking spa appointments, training on the Lodge reservation system, treatments and product knowledge.

 Licensed Cosmetologist/Nail tech:  Duties will include manicures, pedicures, hair cuts, styles.  Special occasion  and wedding party up dos and styles.  Knowledge and selling of Spa retail items.  Additional hours may be available as spa receptionist.

 Massage Therapist:   Licensed massage therapist.  Seasonal on call position.  Duties to include massage, reflexology, spa body treatments.

Sun Mountain Lodge participates in a Washington Department of Labor and Industry and American Culinary Federation sanctioned culinary education program.
This apprenticeship program offers:

  • A 3 year work-as-you-learn opportunity
  • The chance to earn your “Certified Culinarian” Certification (CC)
  • Recognition and certification  by the Washington Department of Labor, the US Department of Labor and the American Culinary Federation
  • Mentoring from an ACF-certified Executive Chef (CEC)
  • Participation in an “earn while you learn” approach
  • Development of real-world skills based on job experience
  • The opportunity to pursue career paths that provide long-term financial security
  • Development of documented culinary skills that are transferable
  • Possible housing available for a single person

Interested students should:

  • Have a passion for food and cooking
  • Have a high school diploma or the equivalent
  • Be at least 17 years of age
  • Be willing to spend 3 years working and training rigorously
  • Be willing to spend time on classroom and computer studies
  • Spend time on field trips, food shows and competitions
  • Be willing to live in a rural area
  • Enjoy working in a AAA Four-Diamond Resort and Restaurant
  • Have 3-5 years kitchen experience

When a position is available, applicants should:

  • Write a 300 word essay on why they want to be a chef
  • Include a copy of your high school diploma or equivalent

  • Cost for materials totals $5,000 over the three-year program.  Some scholarship money may be available.

Internships
We offer internships in our culinary, bake shop, landscape and recreation areas.  We currently have one position open in the Kitchen.    We will begin accepting applications in January for those interested in internships between April and October of 2015.
