Cross-Country Skiing

The perfect powder of the Methow Valley
beckons skiers from around the world for cross-country fun.
200km of groomed trails lace Sun Mountain and the Methow Valley.

Passes are good for the entire Methow Valley trail system
one of the largest and finest in the U.S.

The daily trail pass is:
$15 for one-day, $35 for three-days and $11 for half-day (after 1:00 p.m.).

Children ages 13-17 are 1/2 price. Children 12 and under ski free.

Downhill Skiing And Snowboarding

The Loup Loup Ski Bowl,
25 miles from Sun Mountain Lodge, features a new fixed grip quad chairlift, 1,240 vertical feet, PSIA Ski School, full service rental shop, day lodge, plus a junior poma lift and a beginner rope tow.

the Methow Valley Ski School is one of the finest in the nation. Don is a former member of the Professional Ski Instructors of America Nordic Demonstration Team, which sets the standards for U.S. cross-country ski instruction.

Group Lessons
$20 per person.

Basic Lesson
10:30 a.m. Daily
This is a fun, safe and an easy way to start skiing. We'll teach you the skills to enjoy most of the Sun Mountain trails.

Skating Lesson
1:00 p.m. Daily
Learn the secrets of fast and efficient skating. If you can balance on one ski while moving, it's easy to skate.

Control and Efficiency Clinic
9:30 a.m. Weekends and Holidays
Add power and control to turns and stops - with confidence.

Children's Lesson - ages 6-12
10:30 a.m. Weekends and Holidays
Kids love it! They have tons of fun and learn to ski.

Private Lessons
Make an appointment to have a ski pro just for you or your group. You pick the time, place and instructor. Any level, beginner to racer, we'll improve your skiing - guaranteed!

Equipment Rentals
Ski Shop Ext. 735
All equipment is top quality. Rental rates are the same for touring, skating or racing equipment and include short skis, mid-length skis and traditional length skis. Customers are welcome to try as many types as they wish at no additional cost. We have plenty of gear and we are happy to take advance reservations.

Ski Trail Passes
MVSTA ski trail passes are $15 for one-day, $35 for three-days and $11 for half-day (after 1:00 p.m.).
Children ages 13-17 are 1/2 price. Children 12 and under ski free.

Pulk
(to pull small children) $15 for 2 hours, $20 for 4 hours, $25 all day, $15 each additional full day

Ice Skate Rentals
$4 per time

Snow Shoe Rentals and Trail Passes
$12 for 2 hours, $15 for 4 hours, $17 all day, $11 each additional full day
MVSTA snowshoe trail passes are $3/day.

Sleigh Rides
$12 per adult, $9 per child for a ride or $29 per adult, $19 per child for a ride and dinner.
Sun Mountaineers Program
December 26 through end of February

Saturdays and Holidays
5:00 - 8:00 p.m.
$20 per child.
Includes dinner for kids 5-10 years old.

Organized games, arts and crafts and much more.
