And the Winner Is...Sun Mountain Lodge!
Diamonds are a traveler’s best friend.  While they have long been acknowledged as the way to a girl’s heart,  travelers and diners have relied on AAA’s Diamonds to indicate excellence since 1977.  Sun Mountain Lodge is proud to be again awarded the AAA Four Diamond Award for the resort and the restaurant; the 33rd such award it has received.  Sun Mountain Lodge is the only resort in Washington State to receive these awards for both the restaurant and the resort.

“AAA Four Diamond lodgings and restaurants such as Sun Mountain Lodge are part of an elite group that continues to set the standard for personal service, first-class amenities, and exquisite surrounds,” said Steve Pomranz, AAA Washington’s vice president of Travel Services.  “The care the Sun Mountain Lodge’s staff takes ensures that their guests will have an experience they will never forget.

AAA professional inspectors evaluated over 60,000 lodgings and restaurants throughout North America; of these, only 3.2 percent met the rigorous standards to earn a AAA Four Diamond rating.  Sun Mountain Lodge is honored to be one of the 20 lodgings to earn this award in Washington State.

"One cannot write about lodgings in the Methow Valley, or in the North Cascades, without mentioning Sun
Mountain Lodge, one of the crown jewels of fine lodging in Washington state. The seclusion and pampering of this all-season mountaintop resort will make you feel as though you'd been helicoptered into the middle of a James
Bond movie. Sun Mountain Lodge is the only resort in the entire state to earn AAA's Four Diamond Award for both
the lodgings and the restaurant."
