With nearly 200 kilometers of machine-groomed, unrepeated trails surrounded by more than a million acres of national wilderness and forest lands, Sun Mountain Lodge and the Methow Valley today comprises one of the largest nordic centers in North America. Novice or expert, you'll find skiing here to match your interests and abilities. From an hour-long lesson to a guided backcountry adventure. Trail passes --required for all groomed trails -- are sold by the 1/2 day, 1 day, 3 day, and season are one of the best bargains in skiing today. Besides building and maintaining the trail system, the Methow Valley Sport Trails Association (MVSTA) sponsors ski races, clinics, and fun events for the whole family. Ski Rates

The daily trail pass is:
$20 for one-day, $51 for three-days and $15 for half-day (after 1:00 p.m.).

Children ages 13-17 are 1/2 price. Children 12 and under ski free.
Passes are good for the entire Methow Valley trail system- one of the largest and finest in the U.S.

Group Lessons
$22 per person.

Basic Lesson
10:30 a.m. Daily
This is a fun, safe and an easy way to start skiing. We'll teach you the skills to enjoy most of the Sun Mountain trails.

Skating Lesson
1:00 p.m. Daily
Learn the secrets of fast and efficient skating. If you can balance on one ski while moving, it's easy to skate.

Children's Cross Country Ski Lesson - ages 6-12
10:30 a.m. Weekends and Holidays
Kids love it! They have tons of fun and learn to ski.

Private Instructor
Make an appointment to have a cross country ski pro just for you or your group. You pick the time, place and instructor. Any level, beginner to racer, we'll improve your skiing - guaranteed!

Tour and Learn
A two-hour lesson on the Sun Mountain trails.

2 people, $60/each
3 people or more, $45/each

Equipment Rentals
Ski Shop Ext. 735
All equipment is top quality. Rental rates are the same for touring, skating or racing equipment and include short skis, mid-length skis and traditional length skis. Customers are welcome to try as many types as they wish at no additional cost. We have plenty of gear and we are happy to take advance reservations.
