If
you've never enjoyed the sensation of heading through the forest
at dusk, quietly making your way through the shadows over deep,
unbroken snow, then you are among the dwindling number of people
who have yet to try snowshoeing. It is a sport that is growing
rapidly in popularity, here in the Methow Valley and around the
country.
Snowshoe Trails
Choose from numerous trails, including meanders through
forest glades and along the Methow River on the Valley floor to
longer jaunts in the Rendezvous and at Sun Mountain.
MVSTA snowshoe trail passes ($3) are required. People
who have purchased a pass for the ski trails, however, can use
that pass on snowshoe trails as well and don’t need to buy
another pass. Pick up a Methow Valley Winter Trails map today
and have fun!
