The FOOD & BEVERAGE DEPT is seeking to fill positions in the Bar and the Dining Room. No experience is required, we will train.  Both part-time and full-time opportunities are available.

In BANQUETS we are looking for:

  • SERVERS – for both AM & PM shifts.  Previous experience is a plus but not necessary.
  • SHIFT LEADS & SUPERVISORS – These positions require: supervisory skills; good communication skills; interpersonal abilities; organizational aptness; problem-solving orientation; multitasking capabilities.
  • ASSISTANT MANAGER – This position is a year-round opportunity with full-time scheduling from May through September and part-time scheduling for the remainder of the year.


The FRONT DESK needs a part-time clerk.  The position requires evenings, weekends, and holidays.  A Night Audit/Front Desk Person is also needed: 3 night shifts, 2 day shifts per week.


THE ACCOUNTING DEPARTMENT is looking for a Full Time Accounting Clerk to join our accounting team, previous accounting experiences required, preferably with a hospitality background. This is a full time position that will typically work Monday-Friday but will need to be flexible when needed in rare occasions on the weekend.

Duties include:  Accounts Payable; Inventory (food and beverage, gift shop etc.); Filing; Cross Training on Night Audit Shift (only for emergency situations);  other duties as assigned.

Skills include:  Excel – very good working knowledge; Spreadsheets and ability to create new ones preferred; Comfort learning new technology programs and systems; Working knowledge of hospitality accounting practices (preferred not required); Attention to detail; Ability to take direction; Ability to work independently.

Pay:  $20 to start.  Insurance and Vacation Benefits are also available.


The MAINTENANCE DEPT is searching for a general maintenance technician.  This person’s skill set should include general carpentry, basic plumbing, tiling, and painting capabilities. Pay will depend on experience.


The GIFT SHOP needs a part-time Clerk/Barista that can start immediately for the busy season. Previous experience is a plus but not necessary.


HOUSEKEEPING is seeking housekeepers, laundry attendants, and janitors.

SUN MOUNTAIN LODGE IS HIRING a Childcare Center Director
• Full time
• Loves kids, energetic, adventurous, calm demeanor
• Leadership experience/team organization/delegation
• Must be State Certificate 47 ECE credits by August 1, 2026 and within 5 years of hire date,
• First aid and CPR certified plus background check
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in Childcare management
• Duties include hiring, training, and evaluating staff; follow protocols, guidelines, and state regulations, such as ensuring current background checks
• Create schedules/meet adult/child ratio; Manage facilities for safety and cleanliness
• Manage finances/budgeting
• Salary: $40,000/annually


MARKETING MANAGER:  Sun Mountain Lodge is looking for a talented Marketing Manager with previous hotel marketing experience and great knowledge of ad placement, social media, influencers and other related property marketing ideas. Prefer a candidate who is located near Winthrop, however a Seattle based candidate may be considered with time split between property and Seattle.


  1. To implement the overall marketing activities and strategies for Sun Mountain Lodge in accordance with the annual or budgeted marketing goals.
  2. Support the Sales Manager’s direct solicitation of group business from corporations, associations, government, motorcoach, SMERF, ski organizations and weddings via prospecting support.
  3. Develop and organize marketing efforts, including:
  4. Advertising and ad approval
  5. Working with agency and media buyers
  6. Promotions
  7. Public relations
  8. FAM tours
  9. Press releases
  10. Direct and e-mailings
  11. Collateral
  12. Trade shows
  13. Website
  14. Photography
  15. Participate with Revenue Manager in last minute movement of inventory and other rooms related specials, packages
  16. Prepare a marketing plan for the Sales & Marketing annual budget.
  17. Lead creation of special SML packages (rooms + F&B + activity)
  18. Develop partnerships with and represent Sun Mountain Lodge at local, regional and statewide industry groups and associations.
  19. Attend trade shows and tourism conferences as required
  20. Attend all required meetings and assist Accounting with budget planning related to marketing, room revenue etc.
  21. Other duties as assigned


A college degree in Hotel Management, Business or Marketing preferred; 4 years Hotel marketing experience, preferably in hotels and resorts or destination/remote properties.  Outstanding communications skills and out of the box creativity.
