Boating and River Rafting

There are a variety of boating options available throughout the Spring to Autumn seasons in the Methow Valley. One mile from the Lodge is Patterson Lake, which is open year round for fishing.   During the early summer months, exciting white water rafting can be experienced on the Methow River.

Boat rental season is over at Patterson Lake.  We look forward to seeing you next spring!

Due to high demand and limited inventory, these rentals are available to Sun Mountain Lodge and Patterson Lake Cabin overnight guests only.

May-October

Please inquire about fishing pole rentals.
Fishing Licenses are available in Winthrop at Pardner’s Mini Mart and the Winthrop Ace Hardware.

In order to preserve the alpine lake ambiance of Patterson Lake, there is an 8 m.p.h. speed limit in effect. Power boats and jet skis are welcome on nearby Pearrygin and Alta Lakes.
