The Methow Valley Nordic ski trails span the entire valley with three separate trail systems totaling 200 kilometers of inter-connected, precision groomed ski trails. Each distinctly different from the other, yet designed with the same purpose: To make sure this is the best winter vacation you’ll ever have.
The Sun Mountain trails offer the most diverse terrain available with something for everyone.You can ski right from your door on our trail system and enjoy 60 kilometers of pure fun. The Sun Mountain Ski School offers expert instruction for all levels of skate and classic skiing. An ideal winter destination for families to competitive skiers, and everyone in between!
The Mazama trails cover flat and rolling terrain through farms and woodlands, making for scenic day tours, while the Rendezvous trail system caters to more advanced skiers with elevations climbing from 4,000 to 6,000 feet.

Trail Passes: $25 for one-day, $63 for multi-day pass (three days or more).
Passes are good for the entire Methow Valley trail system.
Trail Passes are required. Proceeds go to Methow Trails, a non-profit organization dedicated to building and maintaining the trail system.Children 17 years and under ski free!
You pick the time, place and instructor. Private lessons are available for any level from beginner to racer.

All equipment is top quality. Rental rates are the same for touring, skating or racing equipment and include short skis, mid-length skis and traditional length skis. Sun Mountain Lodge has been monitoring the evolving response and guidance from local and national officials regarding the Covid-19 situation.
The Sun Mountain Lodge Dining Room, Activities Shop and Gift Shop are all open. The Spa is open and offering massages and facials by advance reservations. We request that you observe social distancing guidelines and wear a mask upon entering. Per RCW 43.70.130, RCW 70.05.070, and WAC 246-100-036, every person in Washington State must wear a face covering that covers their nose and mouth when in any indoor or outdoor public setting. Face coverings may be removed outdoors when you are able to maintain a distance of at least six feet from non-household member.
The Patterson Lake Office is open, with rowboats, stand-up paddleboards, paddleboats and kayaks available to rent to our guests. It’s also great for fishing and swimming!
The Patterson Lake Cabins, main Lodge, Gardner and Mt. Robinson lodging buildings are all open.
The Dining Room is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Reservations are required for all meals, dine-in and takeout. Due to Covid-19 social distancing restrictions, seating is limited. Takeout meals are still available. Ordering in advance is highly recommended.
At this time, due to Covid-19 restrictions, the swimming pools and hot tubs remain closed and the Cascade Game Room and Exercise Room remain closed. We are sorry that our Cowboy Dinners will not be offered this summer, but will be available again in the spring of 2021.
