Sun Mountain Lodge continues to monitor the evolving response and guidance from local and national officials regarding the Covid-19 situation.
As of March 22, we will be operating in Phase Three mode of Governor Inslee’s “Healthy Washington Road Map to Recovery” program.
Sun Mountain Lodge Dining Room and Gift Shop are now open.
The Spa is open and is offering massages by advance reservations. We request that you observe social distancing guidelines and wear a mask upon entering. Advance reservations are required for breakfast, dinner, spa services and some activities.
Per RCW 43.70.130, RCW 70.05.070, and WAC 246-100-036, every person in Washington State must wear a face covering that covers their nose and mouth when in any indoor or outdoor public setting. Face coverings may be removed outdoors when you are able to maintain a distance of at least six feet from non-household members.
The Patterson Lake Cabins, Main Lodge, Gardner and Mt. Robinson lodging buildings are all open.
We are committed to the safety and wellbeing of our team, guests and community and want to share with you our new operating procedures.

Spa, Activities, Giftshop & Amenities during Phase 3
The Ski/Activities Shop will be closed from March 22-April 30 to transition from winter to spring. We’ll be offering bike rentals May 1, and horseback riding as soon as the trail conditions will allow.
The Gift Shop is open as usual.
The Spa will be offering limited appointments through the first week of April
Current Covid-19 closures
include the swimming pools, hot tubs, game room and exercise room.
Please be advised that, although the Governor has allowed the state to move forward to Phase 3 of the Covid Recovery Plan, for the time being, we are unable to open our pools, hot tubs, game room, and exercise room. The 50% capacity limit of Phase 3 would require us to monitor the number of guests using those amenities at any given time and to continually sanitize those amenities. We do not have the personnel available to accomplish these tasks properly at this time. With the shutdown, we lost many staff members and have continued to find it difficult to replace them, leaving us rather short-handed to date. However, with over 3,000 acres of magnificent wilderness as your private playground, we are still able to offer fun-filled activities for every age and ability. We look forward to returning to our normal standard of practice with all amenities available; we are just not there yet. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience and offer our heartfelt appreciation for your patience and support during this time of recovery.
We will continue to monitor this situation and update this information as it becomes available.
More information on the Washington State Phase Plan is available here.
Please contact our reservations department between 10am- 6pm at 800-572-0493 if you have any questions.
Thank you for your support and understanding. We look forward to seeing you at Sun Mountain Lodge very soon.
